On August 10, Murodulla Normuradov, regional representative of the Commissioner Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in the Kashkadarya region, paid a monitoring visit to correctional colony No. 10 in the city of Koson.

It is known that in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 26, 2021 "On additional measures to improve the system for detecting and preventing torture", it is noted that it is necessary to create public groups to identify and prevent cases of torture under the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and, together with these public groups, conduct regular follow-up visits to places of detention of persons with disabilities.
