As is known, the determination of whether convicts serving sentences in penal institutions have reformed is carried out by a commission. Regional Ombudsman representatives, deputies of local Councils of People's Deputies, and representatives of the public participate in the commission.

At commission meetings held this week, official conclusions regarding the reformation of convicts were issued for 1,104 individuals from Penal Colony No. 21 in Tashkent, 138 individuals from Penal Colony No. 6 in the Namangan region, 351 individuals from Penal Settlement No. 27 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 10 individuals serving in the maintenance department of Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 11 in the Khorezm region, 337 individuals from Penal Settlement No. 40 in the Syrdarya region, 23 individuals serving in the maintenance department of Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 8, and 134 individuals from Penal Colony No. 20 in the Bukhara region.

When evaluating whether a convict has reformed, criteria such as their attitude toward work, interest in education and professional training, participation in cultural activities, and compliance with internal regulations are taken into account.
