According to the information provided, in the women’s boarding home for persons with disabilities, an unscheduled comprehensive medical examination of patients was conducted following the Ombudsman’s recommendation. Dentists and gynecologists were involved, and treatment was provided for the detected illnesses.
It was also reported that repairs to sleeping quarters in the institution and the construction of a sports ground for patients are planned to be included in the 2025 budget.
At the Ombudsman’s recommendation, construction and renovation work was carried out in the men’s boarding home for persons with disabilities. New residential rooms accommodating an additional 100 beds, a winter sports ground, an assembly hall, and a day-care center for medical care and rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities from nearby districts were completed and put into operation.
Additionally, during a monitoring visit to the Special Reception Center in Bukhara region, conducted by the Ombudsman in collaboration with public representatives, a requirement was issued to address identified deficiencies.
According to the information provided to the Ombudsman, the Special Reception Center has been equipped with an artificial ventilation system, its rooms are now adequately lit, and the beds have been supplied with new bedding in accordance with regulatory standards. Another of the recommendations are still being implemented.
