A regular enlarged session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was held on February 15, 2022. The deputies heard a report on the activities of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in 2021.
In total, in 2021, the Ombudsman received 18,738 appeals from citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, citizens and authorized foreign states, stateless persons, public organizations and other legal entities.
The Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and regional representatives ensure consideration of appeals received from individuals and legal entities in accordance with the law.

2023 yilning 31 yanvar kuni Oliy Majlisning Inson huquqlari bo‘yicha vakili (ombudsman) huzuridagi Insonning konstitutsiyaviy huquqlari va erkinliklariga rioya etilishi bo‘yicha komissiya aʼzolarining navbatdagi yig‘ilishi bo‘lib o‘tdi. Yangi tarkibdagi komissiya aʼzolarining joriy yildagi ilk yig‘ilishida Oliy Majlisning Inson huquqlari bo‘yicha vakili (ombudsman)ning 2022 yildagi faoliyati ko‘rib chiqildi.
Joriy yilning 13 fevral kuni Oliy Majlis Qonunchilik palatasidagi O‘zLiDeP fraksiyasining navbatdagi yig‘ilishi bo‘lib o‘tdi.

On February 23 this year, an international conference was held on the topic "Interaction and cooperation in the field of reliable protection of human rights and freedom" in connection with the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the institution of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) at the Congress Center of the "Silk Road Samarkand" complex in the city of Samarkand.
2023 yilning 6 oyi davomida Toshkent shahridan jami 1 022 ta murojaat kelib tushgan. Shundan 189 tasi iqtisodiy huquq, 157 tasi ijtimoiy huquq bo‘yicha, 112 tasi shaxsiy huquq va erkinliklar, 186 tasi fuqarolarning murojaat etish huquqlari, 66 tasi bola huquqlari, 36 tasi ekologik huquqlar va 80 tasi boshqa masalalar bo‘yicha, shuningdek 196 ta murojaat huquqni muhofaza qiluvchi organlar faoliyatiga tegishli.
2023 yilning 6 oyi davomida Qashqadaryo viloyatidan jami 1.299 ta murojaat kelib tushgan bo‘lib, shundan iqtisodiy huquq bo‘yicha 366 ta, ijtimoiy huquq bo‘yicha 337 ta, shaxsiy huquq va erkinliklar bo‘yicha 144 ta, fuqarolarning murojaat etish huquqlari bo‘yicha 161 ta, bola huquqlari bo‘yicha 15 ta, ekologik huquqlar bo‘yicha 11 ta va boshqa masalalar bo‘yicha 183 ta, huquqni muhofaza qiluvchi organlar faoliyati bo‘yicha 82 ta murojaatlar kelib tushgan.
«O‘zbekiston 24» telekanalida Ombudsmanning inson huquqlarini taʼminlash borasidagi faoliyati haqida lavha efirga uzatildi.
Joriy yil 28-fevral kuni bo‘lib o‘tgan Senatning Orolbo‘yi mintaqasini rivojlantirish masalalari va ekologiya qo‘mitasi navbatdagi majlisida bir qator muhim masalalar ko‘rib chiqildi.

On October 2-3, 2024, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an International Conference on “Climate Change and Human Rights: the Role of Ombudsman and National Human Rights Institutions” in Baku. Deputy of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis on Human Rights (Ombudsman) Bekzod Narimanov participated in it.
Oliy Majlisning Inson huquqlari bo‘yicha vakili (ombudsman)ga har kuni 100-120ga yaqin yozma va elektron murojaatlar kelib tushadi. Ushbu murojaatlar o‘rganilib, Ombudsman vakolatiga tegishlilari nazoratga olinadi. Nazoratga olinmagan murojaatlar mazmunidan kelib chiqib, ko‘rib chiqish va murojaat muallifini xabardor etish uchun tegishli davlat idoralari va tashkilotlarga yo‘naltiriladi.
On February 27, 2025, an international conference titled “A Clean and Favorable Environment – A Guarantee of Human Rights” was held in Tashkent to mark the 30th anniversary of the institution of the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
As part of the international conference "A Clean and Comfortable Environment – A Guarantee for Ensuring Human Rights", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Institution of the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman), a visit was made to the Samarkand region.

On March 14, 2025, an important environmental event was held in the Syrdarya region on the initiative of the regional representative of the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in the Syrdarya region and the leadership of colony settlement No. 40 within the framework of the national Yashil Makon project.
Where did you first learn about protecting the environment and your ecological responsibilities as a child? Today, students are learning about these topics in school during “Ombudsman Hour” lessons.
The Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) received a complaint from residents of Uchkurgan district in Fergana region regarding violations of their environmental rights. According to the complaint, for the past 17 years, emissions and unpleasant odors have been released into the atmosphere from a brick production facility belonging to the “Tursunzoda” farming enterprise. These emissions are reported to negatively affect not only residents’ health but also the productivity of fruit trees and vegetables grown in household plots.
Since 2024, the “Ombudsman Hour” lessons, conducted in schools across the country in cooperation between the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, have been attracting increasing interest from students. Because human rights and responsibilities are explained through examples drawn from everyday life, students are actively participating in these lessons.
