Proposals from Members of the Scientific and Advisory Council under the Ombudsman on the 2025 Annual Report Were Received

On 28 January 2026, a meeting of the Scientific and Advisory Council under the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) was held. During the meeting, the annual report on the activities of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) for 2025 was discussed.

The Scientific and Advisory Council was established to conduct an in-depth scientific analysis of issues in the field of human rights protection that require solutions, to assess them based on cases identified through the daily practice of handling complaints, monitoring visits, and studies, as well as to further improve the report by taking into account international experience.

The meeting featured a live dialogue between scholars and staff of the Ombudsman Institution on the Ombudsman’s activities related to handling complaints, preventing torture, monitoring and legal analysis, international cooperation, legal awareness-raising, and engagement with the mass media.

During the meeting, members of the Scientific and Advisory Council discussed the proposals formulated in the Ombudsman’s annual report and put forward relevant recommendations.
