In accordance with the established procedure, convicts who have the right to vote are included in the voter lists at polling stations established in places of deprivation of liberty and detention. Voter lists are compiled by the precinct election commission on the basis of information provided by the heads of these institutions and are included in the unified electronic voter list.

On this basis, the regional representative of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in Navoi province, Shukhrat Juraev, held a campaign event for the staff of penitentiary institutions in Navoi province on the suffrage of convicts and the procedure for its use in Navoi province. About 200 employees of penal colonies No. 4, 5, 11, 12 and penal settlement colony No. 36 of Navoi region took part in the event held in the form of videoconference.

As already noted, the administration of detention and prison facilities on election day is responsible for ensuring the security of inmates entering and leaving the polling station and for ensuring that internal procedures are followed.

Precinct election commissions established in places of detention and imprisonment, together with the administration of these institutions, inform voters about the election legislation, the preparations for the elections, the processes of their conduct, the time and procedure of the elections, as well as about the candidates.

After the event, the regional representative of the Ombudsman in Navoi region studied the conditions created for inmates in Correctional Colony No. 4. He also held collective meetings with them to learn their opinion about the institution and their treatment.

The Ombudsman's Boxes installed in the colony were also checked and the appeals received were accepted.

On this day, on the initiative of the regional representative of the Ombudsman in Navoi region, a concert and an evening of laughter with the participation of famous masters of Askia art of the Republican Center of Askia and Humor was held in this colony for convicts serving their sentences.
