This approach enables practical assistance in restoring citizens’ rights. For example, in April 2024, S.G., a resident of Ulugnor, Andijan region, submitted an appeal regarding difficulties in receiving vacation pay from a medical association, even though she was on annual leave. This appeal was taken under the supervision of the Ombudsman’s representative in Andijan region and investigated in cooperation with prosecutorial authorities. As a result, approximately 10 million UZS in vacation pay was recovered in favor of S.G.

It is worth noting that in the first 9 months of 2024, the Ombudsman received 370 appeals regarding the collection of child support payments. This represents a 23.3% increase compared to the same period in 2023. As a result of processing these appeals, over 286 million 477 thousand UZS were collected in child support payments for the maintenance of minor children. In 8 cases, individuals who failed to pay child support were held administratively liable, while in 5 cases, criminal proceedings were initiated against those found guilty, resulting in sentences handed down by the court.
