To protect the applicant's rights, the Ombudsman filed a claim with the Yangikurgan Inter-District Civil Court seeking recovery of the unpaid wages and other related payments.
The court granted the Ombudsman's claim, and the applicant has now received the full amount of his outstanding wages.
Another complaint was submitted by D.I., a resident of Samarkand Region. She stated that she had worked for many years as a laboratory technician at a family polyclinic but had been asked to submit a resignation letter due to staff reductions after being promised that she would later be rehired. However, she was not offered a new position and remained unemployed.
Following a review of the complaint, the Ombudsman's Regional Representative in Samarkand Region sent an official letter to the family polyclinic in support of the applicant's rights.
As a result, the applicant was offered a suitable position and reinstated to employment.
Under Uzbekistan's labour legislation, employers are required to provide employees with the work stipulated in their employment contracts, pay wages in full and on time, ensure safe working conditions, and compensate employees for damage to their health resulting from occupational injuries or work-related diseases.
