In 2024, based on the results of a monitoring visit conducted to the Republican Psychiatric Hospital with Enhanced Supervision, located in the Almazar district, the Regional Representative of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in Tashkent city sent official submission to the Ministry of Health to address identified shortcomings. In response to the Ombudsman’s submission, the Ministry reported that a supervisory plan had been developed for the hospital and that the identified deficiencies would be rectified within specified timeframes.
