The meeting was attended by the Ombudsman’s Regional Representative in Fergana Region, representatives of the Probation Department of the Public Security Service of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the Regional Department of the National Agency for Social Protection, and the regional representative office of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, participants were provided with explanations on resolving family conflicts without violence, mutual respect and a culture of communication, responsibility towards the family, as well as the legal consequences of violence.

In particular, individual interviews were conducted with each participant, during which legal and psychological assistance was provided. The interviews addressed the causes of family conflicts, anger and emotion management, and ways to build healthy relationships with spouses and children.

Within the framework of the “Equality and Respect” platform, alongside supporting women affected by violence, attention is also being paid to individual work with persons who have committed violence as part of efforts to prevent violence.
