At a meeting with teachers and mentors, the Head of State emphasized: “Honouring a teacher means honouring not merely a member of one profession, but the future of an entire nation.” These words reflect the invaluable role of teachers’ work in the life of society and the state.
From a human rights perspective, every child’s right to quality education, to develop their abilities and to build a dignified future first takes on real meaning at school, through interaction with a teacher. A teacher does more than impart knowledge — they teach children to respect human dignity, to value the rights of others alongside their own, and to understand the importance of justice and responsibility.
Today, artificial intelligence and digital technologies are rapidly transforming the ways in which knowledge is acquired. Yet, as the President has emphasized, no technology can reach a child’s heart in the way a teacher can or instil in them a love for their homeland and a sense of responsibility. Technology can deliver knowledge, but giving a child confidence, inspiring them to dream and guiding them towards becoming a well-rounded person is the invaluable mission of a teacher.
Dear Teachers,
The results of your work become especially visible over the years. Seeing a child who once sat at a school desk grow into a good person, a highly qualified professional and a responsible citizen is the greatest recognition a teacher can receive.
We wish you all good health, family well-being, patience, strength and energy. May the achievements of your students, the gratitude of parents and the respect of the people always accompany you.
Happy Teachers and Mentors Day, dear teachers and mentors!
