In 2024, the Commissioner of Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) received 23,422 appeals from citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens and ombudsman of foreign states, stateless persons, public organizations and other legal entities. Of these, 2,747 complaints were received from persons in special reception facilities, temporary detention facilities, pre-trial detention facilities, penitentiary institutions, disciplinary units, compulsory treatment facilities, as well as their representatives.
