Participants of the International Conference Visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis

Ombudspersons from foreign countries, representatives of national human rights institutions and international organizations who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the international conference entitled “Human Rights in the Context of Digital Transformation: Modern Approaches” visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and met with Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the effective protection of human rights and freedoms, strengthening cooperation among parliaments, Ombudsman institutions and national human rights institutions, as well as the exchange of experience.

The foreign guests acknowledged the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to ensure human rights, including the protection of the rights of women and children, the promotion of gender equality, and the improvement of mechanisms for guaranteeing human rights.

The meeting emphasized the importance of studying international experience in the field of human rights, continuing professional dialogue, and jointly seeking solutions to pressing issues.
