Within the framework of the “Equality and Respect” platform, individual work will be carried out with aggressors who committed violence in Namangan.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Regional Representative of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (ombudsman) in Namangan region and the Namangan city territorial center of the Women’s Rehabilitation and Adaptation Center under the National Agency for Social Protection. This agreement is aimed at further strengthening legal, psychological, and social support for women affected by violence.

Within the framework of the memorandum, an event titled “Legal Aid Bus” was organized at the Namangan regional center for Women’s Rehabilitation and Adaptation based on the “Equality and Respect” platform. Representatives of the Family and Women’s Affairs Department, the Department of Internal Affairs’ division for working with women and youth, psychologists, and 7 women affected by violence took part in the event.

During the event, individual interviews were conducted with women affected by violence. They were informed about measures being taken to provide state protection, support, and help them return to a safe life, as well as about their rights and available opportunities. Their appeals were also received.

Additionally, 3 male perpetrators of domestic violence were identified. In cooperation with the Department of Internal Affairs and the Family and Women’s Affairs Department, it is planned to conduct individual psychological work with them, including therapeutic sessions on responsibility, family relations, and equality.

At the end of the event, participants ознакомились (visited) vocational training courses organized at the center, including sewing, cooking, children’s massage, and computer literacy.
