The appeal stated that children living in the area were forced to cross the Tashkent–Fergana highway to attend school, and that there was no designated pedestrian pathway at this location. Therefore, the citizens requested practical assistance in organizing a safe passage for the mahalla’s children through the fenced edge section of the Fergana Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 2.
The appeal was examined on site by the Ombudsman’s regional representative in Fergana region in cooperation with the Rishtan district khokimiyat. An open dialogue was held with citizens and the situation was comprehensively analyzed.
In accordance with the Action Plan for cooperation between the Ombudsman’s regional representative in Fergana region and the Fergana Regional Council of People’s Deputies, working groups consisting of regional, city and district deputies, members of the Senate, representatives of state bodies and organizations, as well as civil society institutions are formed to conduct on-site reviews of appeals submitted by individuals and legal entities and to take measures for their resolution.
As a result of the review, construction works were launched for a new 720-meter road from the mahalla territory to the school building. Relevant district authorities and construction organizations were involved in the implementation of the project.
Currently, road leveling works are underway.
