During the monitoring, the sleeping quarters of convicted persons and detainees, the canteen, the library, the medical unit, and facilities for short-term and long-term visits were inspected. Collective and individual discussions were also held with convicted persons and detainees.
During the monitoring visit, more than 150 works of foreign and Uzbek fiction were donated to the library of Pre-Trial Detention Center No. 3 on a charitable basis.
On the same day, an in-depth medical examination was organized at the detention center by the Regional Representative of the Ombudsman and deputies of the Andijan Regional Council of People’s Deputies in cooperation with the Andijan Regional Health Department.
Qualified regional medical specialists participated in the examination, including a phthisiatrician, traumatologist, neurologist, otolaryngologist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist, psychiatrist, gynecologist, cardiologist, urologist, dermatovenereologist, dentist, allergist, surgeon, and laboratory specialists.
A total of 152 individuals were examined by specialized physicians.
Based on the results of the medical examination, identified diseases were placed under dispensary supervision, and the necessary medical procedures were prescribed in accordance with specialists’ recommendations.
