The next training sessions were organized in general education schools by the Ombudsman’s regional representatives in the Andijan, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Syrdarya, and Surkhandarya regions. In total, nearly 1,000 students took part in these classes.
The classes were held at Specialized State Educational School No. 62 and Secondary School No. 1 in Jalakuduk district of Andijan region; the Mathematics School in Karakul district of Bukhara region; Schools No. 16, 22, and 7 in Bukhara city; Schools No. 11 and 10 in Kogon city and School No. 20 in Kogon district; Secondary School No. 49 and a specialized school in Bukhara district; Schools No. 83 and 102 in Yakkabog district of Kashkadarya region and Schools No. 14 and 9 in Karshi city; Specialized State General Education School No. 56 (informatics and information technologies) and Specialized School No. 54 in Pastdargom district of Samarkand region, as well as Schools No. 36 and 1 in Samarkand district; Schools No. 10 and 11 in Gulistan city of Syrdarya region and Schools No. 21 and 24 in Mirzaobod district; School No. 9 in Termez city of Surkhandarya region; as well as Schools No. 15, 40, 36, and 38 in Zangiota district of Tashkent region.
During the classes, students gained an understanding—based on real-life examples—of women’s rights, combating digital violence, national human rights institutions and the powers of the Ombudsman, as well as opportunities to ensure rights enshrined in the Constitution. Detailed answers were also provided to questions of interest to students.
