The event was attended by heads and representatives of national human rights institutions from Australia, Bahrain, Palestine, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iraq, South Korea, the Maldives, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand.

During the international event, participants were informed about the legal, institutional, and practical mechanisms established in Uzbekistan to ensure and support women’s rights. In addition, participants were briefed on measures aimed at providing legal, psychological, and social assistance to women within the framework of the “Equality and Respect” platform implemented at the initiative of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
