At the meeting, it was noted that members of the “Ombudsman Club” have opportunities—during their after-class practicums—to build skills in areas such as legislative analysis, handling appeals, and participating in monitoring visits.

It was emphasized that since 2021 the Ombudsman has received over 250 applications from TSUL students to join the Club; nearly 150 students have completed practicums at the Ombudsman throughout the academic year, strengthening their theoretical knowledge and acquiring practical skills. To date, 5 active members of the Ombudsman Club have been employed.

The roundtable was conducted in an open Q&A format. The Human Rights Commissioner provided detailed answers to students’ questions. Through the discussion, participants learned extensively about the Ombudsman’s powers, incoming appeals, and international and national practices in guaranteeing human rights.
