The event’s main goal was to discuss implementation of the comprehensive measures set for 2025 within the Strategy to achieve gender equality in Uzbekistan by 2030, and to expand women’s participation and opportunities across various areas of the civil service.
The conference brought together representatives of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Ombudsman, embassies of foreign states, international experts, officials of ministries and agencies, members of civil society institutions, as well as graduates of the “School for Women Leaders.”
Discussions addressed increasing women’s participation in the civil service, legislative and institutional safeguards, international indices, leadership competencies, and raising intellectual potential through education.
Panel sessions examined best practices for improving gender policy, creating equal conditions for women, and increasing their share in leadership positions.
At the conclusion of the conference, a set of practical proposals was developed to expand opportunities for women, increase the number of women leaders, and remove existing barriers.
