During the visit, the students learned about the main areas of the Ombudsman’s activity, the process of reviewing citizens’ appeals, as well as the procedures for conducting monitoring visits to closed institutions where persons with restricted freedom of movement are held.

An excursion around the Office building was organized for the students, during which they observed the work of the departments on citizens’ appeals, international cooperation, prevention of torture, and monitoring analysis.

The students were also informed about the activities of the “Ombudsman Club” established under the Ombudsman. Members of this club have the opportunity to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience in the field of human rights protection during their extracurricular time.

The students received answers to their questions and gained a deeper understanding of the institution’s role in the human rights protection system.
