As a result of the Ombudsman’s review, it was established that S.Kh. had been evading child support payments since 2017. On February 12, 2024, the court sentenced him to 15 days of administrative arrest. Later, on January 14, 2025, he was sentenced to six months of imprisonment by a court ruling.
According to the Regulation on the Alimony Fund approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 3, 2022, if a parent is held criminally liable for failing to financially support a minor child, the enforcement officer is authorized to initiate legal measures to recover the debt based on an enforcement document received from a criminal court.
If all legal enforcement measures fail, the enforcement officer may issue a decision to cover the debt from the Alimony Fund. The payment must be made no later than two business days following the decision.
Based on the Ombudsman’s appeal to the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau under the General Prosecutor’s Office, a total of 109.4 million soums was fully transferred to citizen D.J.'s personal bank card from the Alimony Fund in the interest of her two minor children.
