During the past week, “Ombudsman School” sessions were held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as in the Navoi and Bukhara regions.
In particular, the event held in the Nukus district of Karakalpakstan covered over 150 residents from the “Aqmangit,” “To‘qtov,” “Aqterek,” “Qutankul,” and “Taqirkul” communities.
During the event aimed at increasing legal awareness, participants were provided with information on:
- Subsidies available to socially vulnerable families,
- The introduction of the “Social Map” system in the regions, and
- Recent legislative acts outlining benefits in accessing medical services.
Additionally, a mobile public reception was conducted by the Ombudsman’s regional representative in Karakalpakstan.
To further enhance public awareness of human rights and freedoms, as well as national laws, legal acts, and international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan, several other events were held across districts and cities.
Notably, in Kyzyltepa district of Navoi region, an “Ombudsman School” event was held with the participation of residents from the “Toshrabot” and “Vang‘ozi” communities. Similarly, in Kogon district of Bukhara region, residents of the “Niyoz Hoji,” “Suxor,” and “Yangi Hayot” mahallas took part in awareness-raising sessions.
