Antti Karttunen expressed interest in the main areas of the Ombudsman’s activities, highlighting the importance of the recently adopted Law “On the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman).” It was emphasized that the law includes new provisions aimed at strengthening human rights protection and aligns with the Constitution, introducing changes that bolster citizens’ rights and freedoms. These developments pave the way for the Ombudsman to achieve "A" status under the Paris Principles of the Global Alliance.

During the meeting, plans for strengthening cooperation in 2025–2026 were discussed, including projects aimed at enhancing staff qualifications and providing technical assistance to support the Ombudsman’s activities.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
