An expert group headed by the Authorized Person for Human Rights of the Oliy Majlis (Ombudsman) visited the Bukhara region on March 25-27 this year to study the implementation of the tasks assigned to the Authorized Person for Human Rights in the President's Address to the Oliy Majlis, as well as to study the state of human rights in the regions. It should be noted that according to the State Program of the Oliy Majlis on Human Rights, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy of Action in Five Priority Areas of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan", in 2017-2021. “The task is to create public groups under the auspices of the Ombudsman to identify and prevent cases of torture, as well as broad and regular coverage of the activities of these groups through the media.
