Immediately after the reports were published, the Regional Representative of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in Kashkadarya Region, together with officials responsible for women's issues, visited the scene and examined the circumstances of the incident. They also visited the hospital where the injured citizen, identified as K.H., is receiving treatment and familiarized themselves with her condition and the details of the incident.

During the inquiry, it was established that K.H. has not lived with her husband since February of this year and has been residing in rented accommodation together with her three children.

According to the victim, while she was away from home, her husband deceived the children and entered the apartment. When she returned home, he assaulted her until she lost consciousness and then left the scene. The victim also stated that he took her gold jewelry, 5 million soums in cash, and her daughters' mobile phones.

The victim further reported that the emergency panic button installed in the rented apartment had been disconnected from the power supply by her husband, preventing her from calling emergency services.

K.H. is currently receiving treatment under medical supervision in a separate room of the intensive care unit. She has undergone a comprehensive medical examination, which revealed no bone fractures.

According to the information collected, previous family disputes had already been examined by the competent authorities. On June 14, 2026, K.H. was issued a protection order. In addition, on July 26, the court sentenced her husband, who had inflicted bodily injuries on her, to seven days of administrative detention. However, without changing his behavior, he returned to the woman's rented home on August 1 and again committed an act of violence against her. A criminal case has now been initiated against him, and he has been declared wanted.

Issues related to ensuring the victim's safety and providing her with the necessary legal, psychological, and social assistance have been taken under the supervision of the Ombudsman and relevant partner organizations.

The Ombudsman will continue monitoring the situation within the scope of its mandate.
