The “Ombudsman School” project, implemented at the initiative of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (ombudsman), aims to conduct open dialogue with residents in remote areas, address their concerns through the involvement of relevant state authorities, and enhance legal awareness among citizens.

Another open dialogue session was held for residents of the “Beshrabod”, “Ko‘hron”, “Kelachi”, and “O‘zbekiston” mahallas in Navbakhor district of Navoi region.

Based on the analysis of incoming appeals from the area, representatives of relevant government bodies were invited to participate. These included representatives of the regional departments of internal affairs, poverty reduction and employment, healthcare, the regional office of the Mahalla Association of Uzbekistan, the regional branch of the National Agency for Social Protection, as well as specialists from the Navoi regional division of the “Istiqbolli Avlod” Social Information Center. Approximately 150 citizens took part in the open dialogue.

During the meeting, participants were provided with clear and accessible information on issues related to social protection, healthcare services, employment, personal safety, and human rights protection. Citizens also shared their views and concerns regarding existing issues.

As part of the “Ombudsman School” initiative, a medical screening was conducted, during which 86 members from around 30 socially vulnerable families underwent in-depth medical examinations.
