The quiz was organized in connection with 3 December — the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and 10 December — Human Rights Day.
Currently, more than 21,000 students with physical or mental disabilities are receiving education and upbringing in 90 specialized schools and boarding schools (specialized educational institutions) across the country.
The main objective of the project is to expand children’s legal knowledge, foster legal awareness, and develop skills for understanding their rights and making correct decisions in real-life situations.
The two-stage quiz involved nearly 90 students from boarding schools for children with musculoskeletal disabilities located in Tashkent and Fergana regions, as well as in the city of Tashkent. In particular, students from Boarding School No. 34 in Angren, Boarding School No. 9 in Kokand, and Boarding School No. 100 in the Almazar district of Tashkent participated in the first stage of the quiz.
In the final stage, 9 students from grades 9 to 11 who scored the highest points in their respective regions took part.
To assess the participants’ legal knowledge and analytical skills, separate questions were prepared for each grade level during the final stage. The questions and case studies were developed in line with the students’ age and curriculum, and their legal awareness, logical thinking, and ability to make sound decisions in life situations were evaluated.
Based on the scores awarded by the jury members, the winners were determined and awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
