A collective appeal was submitted by citizens working at a private company providing catering services under an outsourcing contract at the “Muruvvat” residential institution for women with disabilities in Syrdarya district. This institution is among the facilities regularly monitored by the Ombudsman’s regional representative in Syrdarya region.
The appeal stated that the entrepreneur had failed to pay wages to 16 employees—partially for May and fully for June.
As a result of the review by the working group, wages totaling 38,400,000 sums were recovered in favor of the employees.
In addition, employee K.A., working at the 3rd Family Polyclinic under the Gulistan City Medical Association, complained that 50% of his salary had been withheld without prior notice.
Upon examination of the employment documents, it was established that the established procedures for applying disciplinary measures had been violated, thereby infringing upon citizen K.A.’s labor rights.
Following the review, the unlawful disciplinary sanction in the form of a reprimand and the withholding of 50% of the salary were canceled with respect to K.A.
