In particular, at the initiative of the Ombudsman’s regional representative in Namangan region, the interests of convicts are assessed and various training clubs are organized based on the traditional “master-apprentice” model.
Recently, more than 150 convicts who had undergone six-month training in areas such as “Traditional Clothing Sewing,” “Metalworking,” and “Wooden Handicraft Production” received official certificates upon completion.
Additionally, individual consultations were held with convicts interested in entrepreneurship. They were provided with information about preferential loans and state subsidies available after release.
During the monitoring visit, conditions related to living, nutrition, medical services, and labor were reviewed. Based on appeals submitted through the “Ombudsman Box,” one-on-one interviews were conducted with 9 convicts.
