These sessions, organized by regional representatives of the Ombudsman, were held in an interactive format. Students watched life-based videos that explained how to properly exercise their rights while also remembering their responsibilities. This approach facilitated better understanding among young people. Additionally, the events highlighted the work of national human rights institutions.
As part of the “Ombudsman’s Hour” project, sessions were also organized for students of the academic lyceum at the Tashkent State University of Law, where the most active participants received commemorative gifts.
The lessons were conducted in a question-and-answer format, which helped students gain extensive knowledge about human rights.
“Ombudsman’s Hour” is being held across the republic in cooperation between the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. The aim is to strengthen students’ knowledge of human rights and freedoms. This project is essential as it contributes to increasing the legal awareness and literacy of the younger generation.
