Another visiting reception of the regional representative of the Ombudsman in Syrdarya region was held in Mirzaabad district, the region from where the largest number of appeals are sent.

At the reception about 30 citizens addressed on issues related to obtaining housing, cadastre, land tax, social assistance.

On the same day, an event “Ombudsman School” was organized aimed at increasing the legal knowledge of the residents of Mirzaabad district. The event was attended by citizens residing in “Navbahor”, “Bahoriston”, “Hakikat” and “Yuldashabad” neighbourhoods.

The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies and NGOs, who raised the legal awareness of the participants about social assistance to low-income families and protection of labor rights. Residents were also explained the content of the law “On Recognition of Rights to Unauthorized Land Plots and Buildings and Structures Constructed on Them”.

The event, which took the form of an open dialog with citizens, focused on the issues raised in the appeals sent to the Ombudsman from the area.
