“Ombudsman Hours” are organized in schools on the topic “Who protects my rights?”

Ombudsman hours were organized and conducted for senior pupils in general education schools No. 289 in Tashkent City, No. 4 in Syrdarya province, No. 16 and No. 24 in Urgench in Khorezm province, No. 1 in Namangan province, No. 16 and No. 17 in Fergana province and No. 38 and No. 39 in the Chimbay district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

Interactive methods were used in the lessons on the topic “What rights and freedoms do I have?” Pupils were informed about the correct use of their rights using examples of life situations so as not to infringe on other people's rights. They were also shown video clips about the activities of the National Human Rights Institutes.

The classes provided students with useful information about human rights.

“Ombudsman Hours” are organized jointly with the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education throughout the country to consolidate pupils' knowledge of human rights and freedoms.
