During the mutual dialogue, the guest was acquainted with the Ombudsman's activities in identifying and eliminating cases of torture.

The expert from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on issues of torture prevention and gender-based violence noted that the National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) for preventing torture is being studied in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, with the direct involvement of the Ombudsman institution, and a manual based on all the collected data is planned to be prepared.
