Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) pays particular attention to increasing the legal awareness of the population. Because the analysis of appeals sent to the Ombudsman shows the need to inform about the reforms to strengthen the social protection of the population and improve living conditions in recent years. Therefore, starting from 2022, the "Ombudsman School" project aimed at increasing the awareness of citizens about the opportunities and benefits created for citizens in microdistricts of remote areas of the republic.

On September 8, 2023, the next "Ombudsman School" event was held at Music and Art School No. 13, Kyziltepa District, Navoi Region. Activists of "Bo'ston", "Alisher Navoi", "Bunyodkor", "Furqat", "Yashnobad", "Goyibon", "Zarmitan" neighborhoods took part in the event.

It should be noted that an analysis of citizens' appeals sent to the Ombudsman showed that the population is not aware of the reforms being implemented in our country to ensure human rights and interests, in particular, the rights and privileges established for women, youth, elderly people and people with disabilities.

Based on the above, the appeals were analyzed by the Ombudsman Institute by regions and the areas where it is necessary to increase the legal awareness of the population were selected.

The goal of implementing the "Ombudsman School" project is to increase the awareness of the population about fundamental changes in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms in our country.

This event, aimed at increasing the legal awareness of the population, was devoted to issues of social protection of the population and labor rights.

As part of the "Ombudsman School" project, the reception of citizens of the Ombudsman was organized.
