On December 10, 2024, the Ombudsman, together with representatives of the public, conducted monitoring visits to several closed institutions in the Khorezm region that house persons with restricted freedom of movement. In particular, the monitoring included the detention center No. 11, where the conditions of detention, living arrangements, food provision, medical care, heating systems, and other aspects were examined. Meetings were held with minors and women, their appeals were reviewed, and discussions with close relatives of the accused were conducted.
