GANHRI Recommendations Discussed and Further Steps Identified

On the second day of the seminar and training programme held in cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, presentations were delivered on the Ombudsman institution’s budget process, strategic development plan, organizational structure, regional activities and institutional capacity. Participants also took part in a question-and-answer session and exchanged views on the key requirements of the accreditation process.

During the practical session, participants worked in groups to develop a draft roadmap outlining further steps to implement the recommendations of the Sub-Committee on Accreditation (SCA) and enhance the international standing of the Ombudsman institution. The roadmap identified priority areas aimed at strengthening institutional independence, improving operational effectiveness and consolidating the institution’s accreditation status within GANHRI.
