During the visit, the living and dining conditions provided for persons held at the facility, as well as the arrangements for medical care and education, were reviewed.
For reference, the centre is a facility designated for the temporary accommodation of foreign nationals whose right to remain in Poland is under consideration or who are awaiting a decision within the framework of migration procedures. There are six such centres operating in Poland. On the day of the visit, it was reported that approximately 100 persons were being held at the centre. Persons placed in the centre are accommodated there for a specified period on the basis of a court decision.
During the visit, a meeting was also held with two citizens of Uzbekistan being held at the facility, and legal explanations were provided to them.
