Regional representatives of the Ombudsman in Tashkent city, as well as in Bukhara, Fergana, Namangan and Andijan regions, together with representatives of relevant authorities, reviewed citizens’ appeals related to housing rights, medical services, recovery of rental payments, the health condition of a convicted person, and public peace and tranquillity.
In particular, appeals related to housing rights were separately examined in Tashkent city. Citizens requested practical assistance regarding the possibility of eviction from residential premises located in a family dormitory belonging to a higher educational institution, as well as issues concerning the use and privatisation of the premises. On-site examinations were conducted, citizens’ arguments were heard, and the available case documents were analysed. The situation is currently being reviewed in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
In Bukhara region, based on a mother’s appeal, a meeting was held with a convict serving a sentence in Penal Colony No. 1, during which his health condition was examined.
In Fergana region, an appeal related to medical services was reviewed with the participation of specialists. A disciplinary measure was imposed on the responsible doctor who had committed shortcomings during the treatment process. Following the appeal, another doctor was assigned to the patient and the necessary medical procedures were prescribed.
In addition, in Andijan region, an appeal related to civil-law relations arising from a contractual agreement was examined on-site. During the examination, interviews were conducted with the applicants and the available documents related to the case were analysed. In Namangan region, an appeal concerning noise from a playground located on school premises was examined on-site, and relevant authorities were subsequently contacted regarding the matter.
