Civil Society Week Launched
On 1 December 2025, a dialogue platform — the “Civil Society Week” — was launched at the Youth Creativity Palace in Tashkent to review the progress made in the field of civil society institutions and to develop proposals for further advancing the sector.

The Week, which is attended by members of Parliament, the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman), representatives of government agencies, civil society institutions, and international experts, initially engaged more than 1,500 civil society representatives across all regions of the republic. Based on the consolidated proposals and initiatives, the Week officially commenced today in the capital.

Within the framework of the Week, the National NGO Forum, open dialogue sessions, international conferences, awareness-raising campaigns, and a fair of products prepared by persons with disabilities are scheduled to be held. In addition, in order to encourage active contributors to the sector, the National “Civil Initiative” Award and several honorary badges will be presented.

A “Targeted Projects” initiative will also be organized to finance important initiatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations. This mechanism will serve as a platform for discussing ways to expand the outreach of socially significant initiatives.
