Currently, 11 women reside in this branch together with their children. In order to improve their legal knowledge and skills, stabilize their psychological state, and facilitate their social adaptation, the event was attended by staff of the Ombudsman’s Secretariat, the Ombudsman’s Regional Representative in Tashkent, representatives of the National Social Protection Agency, the Tashkent City
Department of the Committee on Family and Women, as well as representatives of the non-governmental non-profit organization “Dialogue” and psychologists.
During the meeting, legal consultations were provided on supporting victims of violence, and explanations were given regarding existing opportunities and benefits. At the same time, the causes of violence were thoroughly discussed. In conversations with women, it was particularly emphasized that until now more attention has been paid to the victims, however, it is also necessary to hold perpetrators accountable and work with them.
Psychologists conducted therapeutic sessions for women to help stabilize their psychological condition.
“Legal Aid Bridge” events within the framework of the “Equality and Respect” platform are being held systematically across the republic.
