Appeals of citizens from the Fergana region were studied
Analysis of appeals to the Authorized Person for Human Rights of the Oliy Majlis (Ombudsman) from Ferghana region shows that people are most concerned about issues related to employment, pensions, social benefits and housing.

On this basis, these legal issues were the subject of the event “School of the Ombudsman”, held on August 28, 2024 in the building of secondary school No. 18 in Uzbekistan district. During the open dialog with citizens, about 100 people living in the mahallas of the district “Yakkatut”, “Kudash”, “Kirk Ketmon” and “Almazar” were covered.

Representatives of the responsible department, who took part in the meeting, discussed the issues of providing employment for young people, introducing them to modern professions and entrepreneurship, providing quality social services to the population, the order of receiving pensions, social benefits and compensation payments, as well as the content of the “Law on Recognition of Rights to Unauthorized Land Plots and Buildings and Structures Constructed on Them”.

The event, which took the form of a free dialog, focused on the issues raised in the appeals sent to the Ombudsman from the area.

Within the framework of the “Ombudsman School” event, a reception of citizens was organized by the regional representative of the Ombudsman in Fergana province.

For information: Article 202 of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Act establishes that the Authorized Person shall take measures to raise citizens' awareness of the laws, other normative legal instruments and international treaties of Uzbekistan in the area of human rights and freedoms and the universally recognized principles and norms of international law.

The activities of the Ombudsman Institution aimed at raising the legal awareness of citizens in the field continue.
