On May 25, together with the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman), the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Office of Penal Reform in Central Asia (Penal Reform International), an international round table was held on the application of alternative measures not related to imprisonment in practice legal proceedings for judges.

Ombudsman: during the 1st quarter, around 80 million sums of alimony payments were collected

In the first quarter of this year, that is, in January-March, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) received 38 requests for the recovery of alimony. After all appeals were transferred to the control of the Ombudsman, the Executive Bureau under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan positively resolved 32 cases. As of March 31, alimony was recovered in favor of the applicants in the total amount of about 80 million soums.
