This is the third Samarkand Forum - Global Forum, based on the initiative put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly and the 46th session of the Human Rights Council, the problems of developing education in the field of human rights will be discussed.

The Bukhara Regional Court continues open court proceedings to consider a criminal case against 22 defendants in connection with the riots that took place in the city of Nukus on July 1-2, 2022. In July, representatives of the National Guard and the Prosecutor General's Office said that 516 people had been detained for participating in demonstrations. The public had questions about the whereabouts of the remaining individuals.

On November 25, 2022, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Feruza Eshmatova took part in the Expanded Dialogue in Central Asia on the topic: “Combating violence: Women and girls at risk. Eliminate the causes and provide assistance. Strengthening access to justice”. This hybrid dialogue was organized by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UN Women of Kazakhstan. The event was also attended by representatives of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the State Committee for Family and Women Affairs and the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations.
