Due to the large number of citizens who arrived at the headquarters of the Commission on August 23, changes were made to the work plan of the members of the Commission. On August 22, members of the Commission began their work by accepting appeals from citizens which were received through the Headquarters. During the reception, family members of persons detained on suspicion of participating in the events in Karakalpakstan left about 10 appeals.

On August 17, 2022, members of the Commission for the Study of the Circumstances and Events that Occurred in the Republic of Karakalpakstan met with citizens and members of their families, who had served an administrative sentence.
