The Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) accepts citizen appeals through receptions, on-site visits, mail, the President’s Virtual Reception of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the internet portal www.pm.gov.uz, the ombudsman.uz website, a mobile application, and "Ombudsman Boxes." Based on the content of appeals, issues requiring further review are examined on-site.

Appeals submitted to the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) are reviewed impartially and, when necessary, examined on-site. This approach enables practical assistance in restoring citizens’ rights. For example, in April 2024, S.G., a resident of Ulugnor, Andijan region, submitted an appeal regarding difficulties in receiving vacation pay from a medical association, even though she was on annual leave. This appeal was taken under the supervision of the Ombudsman’s representative in Andijan region and investigated in cooperation with prosecutorial authorities. As a result, approximately 10 million UZS in vacation pay was recovered in favor of S.G.

To establish an effective dialogue between citizens and government authorities and to enhance citizens' legal awareness, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) holds events as part of the "Ombudsman School" initiative. These events serve as a platform for interaction, providing opportunities for citizens to voice their concerns and submit appeals. Importantly, citizens are given the opportunity to engage directly and in real-time with representatives of relevant government bodies on matters of interest.
