The members of the OSCEODIHR delegation, the First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Director of the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Saidov, staff of the Ombudsman's Secretariat and center participated at the meeting.

As we previously informed, the international conference on "The Role of the Ombudsman in the world: between reality and opportunity" was held in Rome, Italy, on September 21-22, 2023. The Italian Head Ombudsman, who hosted the event, created a special platform for ombudsmen from more than 50 countries to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences. The event was attended not only by ombudsmen, but also by the members of parliament, representatives of the judiciary, international organisations and national institutions involved in the protection of human rights.
