The winners of the Ombudsman's Quiz "Huquq bilimdoni" were awarded
On February 2, 2024, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan held the final II stage of the Ombudsman's Quiz " Huquq bilimdoni ".

One of the basic principles of ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities is to ensure equality of opportunity in the realization of their rights and freedoms.

The "Huquq bilimdoni" project was launched in December of last year in connection with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 and the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The aim of the project is to increase interest and knowledge in the field of rights of disabled children in society.

The project "Ҳukuk Bilimdoni" was launched last December in connection with the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 and the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The aim of the project is to increase the interest and knowledge of children with disabilities in the field of law.

The quiz consisted of two stages, in which about 750 students from boarding schools for children with locomotor disorders from Tashkent and Ferghana provinces and Tashkent city participated. Pupils from boarding schools No. 34 of Angren city, No. 9 of Kokand city and No. 100 of Almazar district participated in the first stage.  The final stage of the quiz was attended by 10 students from different regions, who scored the highest points.

The knowledge of the quiz participants was assessed by the project initiators, including senators, deputies, the Children's Ombudsman and the Vice-rector of a private higher education institution. 

The participants answered theoretical and practical questions based on real-life situations posed to the participants within a set period of time.

6 participants who reached the final stage of the quiz were awarded certificates of honor and gifts.

On the basis of vote counting and summarizing the points gained, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were determined.

1st place: Zumrad Erkinova-pupil of boarding school No. 34 of Angren for children with locomotor system disorders.

2nd place: Fotima Rizaeva - pupil of boarding school № 9 of Kokand for children with locomotor system disorders.

3rd place: Oyatullo Zoirov-pupil of boarding school No. 100 of Almazar district for children with locomotor system disorders.

It is particularly important to note that under article 24 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, States parties are obliged to recognize the right to education of persons with disabilities. They must ensure inclusive education at all levels and lifelong learning without discrimination and on the basis of equality of opportunity.
