Details of the next open dialogue between government bodies and representatives of civil society in the field of ensuring human rights
As is known, in May of this year, in cooperation with the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and the Senate Committee on Judicial-Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption, a platform was created for organizing open dialogues between government bodies and representatives of civil society in the field of ensuring human rights.

On October 17, 2022, another open dialogue took place between government bodies and civil society institutions. This round table on the theme "Interaction of government bodies with civil society institutions in ensuring human rights and freedoms: problems and ways to solve them" was held in the meeting room of the Yuksalish national movement.

The event was attended by representatives of the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, the Ministry for Support of the Mahalla and the Senior Generation, the Prosecutor General's Office, as well as activists from more than 10 civil society institutions, including the Institute for Democracy and human rights, the Republican Public Information Center "Istikbolli Avlod", the public association "Legal Support", the non-governmental non-profit organization "Madad", the Association of Disabled People of Uzbekistan, the NGO "Inclusive Education" and the media.

The purpose of organizing the round table is to create a common dialogue platform between government agencies and civil society institutions to discuss issues of concern to the population and find solutions to these problems.

During the round table, it was noted that the initiative of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Institute of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) to organize an open dialogue between government bodies and representatives of civil society allowed representatives of the third sector to directly discuss with representatives of authorized state bodies the issues that arose in course of their activities.

It should be noted that such dialogues serve to inform the competent representatives of state bodies about the existing shortcomings in ensuring human rights and freedoms and thus serve to reform the relevant areas.

During the event, issues raised in previous dialogues were considered, including the focus of discussions was the work done on such areas as insufficient cooperation between state bodies and NGOs on the basis of "social order", the establishment of legal assistance in penitentiary institutions, the development of social partnership, introduction of disciplines devoted to human rights and freedoms in the system of higher education, difficulties in the process of registration of NGOs. As a result of the round table, the participants of the event made proposals and recommendations on improving the efficiency of interaction between state administration bodies and civil society institutions and strengthening public control by further ensuring the transparency of the activities of state authorities and administration in the field of protection of personal, political, economic, social and cultural rights.
