On the submission of the Ombudsman, a citizen who has suffered from an occupational disease is paid insurance compensation in the amount of more than 191 million soums
Citizen B.I. appealed to the Authorized   Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and complained about non-payment of insurance compensation, despite the existence of an insurance contract.

The appeal states that he worked in mining metallurgy for 6 years and 10 months. Citizen B.I. underwent a medical examination at the Research Institute of Sanitation, Hygiene and Occupational Diseases of the Ministry of Health due to poor health, cough, severe pain in the chest, neck and back, and severe weakness. On January 6, 2022, the Institute diagnosed a citizen with an “occupational disease of the silico-bronchial apparatus”.

The appeal was taken under the control of the Ombudsman and during the study on June 23, 2021, it was found that between the enterprise where the applicant worked and the insurance company, an agreement was concluded on “Compulsory insurance of civil liability of the employer”.

Despite the fact that the applicant contracted an occupational disease, his appeal was ignored by the insurance company.

The Ombudsman submitted to the insurance company a submission that there are sufficient grounds for the fulfillment of contractual obligations in connection with an occupational disease of citizen B.I. during the term of the insurance contract.

According to the results of the submission, the fact of the acquisition of an occupational disease by citizen B.I. was recognized as an insured event, and it was determined that he would be paid a total of 191 million sums of insurance compensation.

Currently, the applicant has been paid insurance compensation in the amount of about 118 million soums. It was reported that the rest of the insurance compensation in the amount of more than 73 million soums would be paid monthly.
